Hand Rankings in Poker

Congratulations! You have just finished the second lesson.

Good job!

Now lets recap:

  • the weakest hand you can make is a High Card
  • then there’s One Pair
  • Two Pair
  • Three of a Kind
  • Straight
  • Flush
  • Full House
  • Four of a Kind
  • and finally the best possible hand Straight Flush
  • when two hands are the same, the kickers are used to determine the winner
  • if the kickers are also the same, the hand is tied and the pot is split

Make sure to download the PDF with the rankings, so that you can learn it by heart.

Mission #2

Play at least 200 hands of play money cash games and pay particular attention to showdowns.
